PERSONAL CARE

We have a care team that maintains our service user’s privacy, dignity and encourages their independence at all times.
The care staff are aware of the importance to allow the clients to choice and enabling them to continue staying at home whilst maintaining their personal hygiene.

The care team provide strip wash, shower or bath depending on the client’s choices.

SHOPPING CALLS

We have a care team that has been rigorously vetted using the enhanced DBS(Disclosure and Barring service) checks.

We help sometimes help collect medication prescriptions from the chemist or take prescription requests to the doctor’s surgery.

This is to ensure that our clients and their loved ones are assured of their finances being safely managed when completely their shopping.
Any discounts are passed on to the service user or their family when the care staff returns with the shopping at the client’s home.

The care staff are required to fill in a financial transaction form after carrying out the shopping.

DOMESTIC TASKS

We support our services users to clean their homes by hoovering, dusting, and mopping.
Sometimes when the next of kin or family is unable to continue supporting the clients with the domestic tasks we do support our clients.

HOSPITAL APPOINTMENTS AND COMMUNITY ESCORT

We provide community escorts to the local shopping centres or restaurants to help reduce isolations from the community.

When our service users have hospital appointments and would like to be accompanied to these appointments we normally arrange for the regular care staff to support with this service.

END OF LIFE CARE

We provide end of life care to our clients who have been diagnosed with a short time to live and would like to spend the last days of their life in their own homes. We respect each individual client’s dying wish at all times during the care provision.

We understand that when an individual has been informed of any diagnosis their loved ones would like to have support and care at home for their loved ones.

We work in collaboration with other professionals such as the district nurses, palliative care team, hospice team, occupational therapists to provide end of life care.

DEMENTIA CARE

We support individuals that have short term memory loss and dementia. Living with dementia comes with a lot of challenges and loved ones would like to maintain the same environment that their loved ones is comfortable and this can be their own homes.
We provide a team of experienced care staff that understand the challenges that come with supporting an individual living with dementia.

SITTING CALLS

Our care team are always willing to support and give the main care worker or family a break.

The care team provide companionship during the long hours , support in preparing a meal for the service user of their choice . The care worker could encourage a collective effort and prompt the individual’s independence.

LIVE-IN CARE

We provide live-in care services to our vulnerable adults. This service could be as a result of change in the client’s health condition or the NOK(next of Kin)
We provide live-care staff who are a good companion and supportive to the client or their families.
This helps the client to continue living in their own homes and our live-in carers provide a person-centred care to our live-in care clients.
We also provide short-term live-in care to enable the families or main carers to have a break or holiday.

PROMPT, ASSIST/ ADMINISTER MEDICATION

The staff are fully trained in supporting out service users with their medication. We provide an induction or annual refresher training to all the care staff to ensure that they understand the different levels of training and are able to support the clients. When there is a change in the level the care team understand that this timely reporting will enable to make the changes. The care staff understand the different levels and medication codes to be recorded on the MAR Chart.

The staff understand that medication requests or orders should be reported to the line manager in advance to avoid delays in medication delivery.

We allow all our service users to engage in each task that is being completed by the care staff so as to enable the client to continue being independent in their own homes. 

The care staff do follow the meal preparation guidelines at all times whilst preparing food for the clients.
